This year Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday - a perfect opportunity to take your Valentine on a picnic to your favourite park or a special spot by the water. Some of my Sydney favourites are Observatory Hill, a ferry ride to Cockatoo Island, Centennial Park, but my #1 is Wendy's Secret Garden in Lavender Bay.
Grab your picnic basket and fill it with a baguette, cheese and a bottle of sparkling. And don't forget a sweet treat. To add a romantic touch create a petal heart, made of red roses.
You will need:
one piece of string
one bag of petals - they can be red roses, or for a splash of colour use pink or orange , or your Valentine's favourite colour.
To make the heart:
Outline the shape of the heart with string and fill will rose petals.Enjoy your romantic Valentine's Day picnic!
